Will I receive a ticket in the post?
There are no paper tickets for Greenwich Circus Festival. Your name will be on the guest list at the reception, just let us know who you are when you arrive.
Where is Greenwich Circus Festival?
Greenwich Circus Festival is held at AirCraft Circus Academy, a leading independent circus school located in Woolwich, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The address is AirCraft Circus Academy, Thames-Side Studios, Unit 7A, Mellish House, Harrington Way, London, SE18 5NR.
How do I get there by bus/tube?
Take the tube to North Greenwich on the Jubilee Line. Then take either of the buses from Bus Stop A (bus 161 or bus 472) and get off at the stop immediately after the Greenwich Trust School stop. Walk down to the roundabout ahead and take the first left down Warspite Road heading to Thames-Side Studios where we are based. At the bottom of Warspite Road, Thames-Side Studios entrance is on Harrington Way, the third (and last) left. Once you are through the large blue iron gates, head straight to start with and then take the first left. We are located opposite The Reach climbing wall, just go to the bottom of the little street and turn left at the end. You will see our signs and stairs leading upstairs to the school.
How do I get there by rail?
Take the mainline train to Woolwich Dockyard. Walk out of the station to reach Francis Street and head down the hill to the traffic lights, Woolwich Church Street. Cross at the lights and turn left towards the roundabout. At the roundabout take the second right down Warspite Road. At the bottom of Warspite Road, Thames-Side Studios entrance is on Harrington Way, the third (and last) left. Once through the large blue iron gates, head down to the bottom and take another left. You will see the sign for AirCraft Circus Academy to the left of The Reach climbing wall. Go to the bottom and turn left.
How do I book my space at the free workshops?
To take part in our free workshops you must purchase a Greenwich Circus festival day ticket for Saturday 15th or Sunday 16th December (workshop registration is valid for the day of purchased ticket only). You will not be able to enter the festival and take part in these workshops without a valid day ticket. Once you have purchased your day ticket please visit this page and select the workshop(s) you wish to attend. If for any reason you can no longer attend a workshop you are booked on to please let us know at email@example.com as soon as possible so we can re-allocate the space.
What should I wear?
Greenwich Circus Festival is an indoor event so you needn't worry about rain. It is however a big space that can get warm with a lot of people in it, so it is advisable to wear light clothes. If you wish to take part in the workshops we recommend leggings or tracksuit bottoms, items that cover your legs and also long-sleeved shirts.
What time should I get there?
Doors open at 12pm for day ticket holders. We recommend you come for the whole day as we have lots planned and wouldn't want you to miss out. Day events finish at 6pm. Doors open for the evening session at 7pm with the first performance at 7.30pm. You can view a full programme on the main Greenwich Circus Festival page.
Do I need to get there at the beginning?
We hope you do but you can arrive at any time throughout the day. If you do arrive during a performance, you may be asked to wait till a suitable time to enter, so as not to disrupt the performance.
Will there be food?
Yes there will be snacks, plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available throughout the day and evening.
Is there a bar?
There is a bar stocking alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day and evening.
What toilet facilities are there?
There is disabled toilet on the studio level available. We also have additional 3 toilets on the 1st floor of our space, however these must be reached by a small staircase from the ground reception level to the 1st floor. There is space for baby changing. Please email us for any specific mobility questions.
Is there disabled access?
Greenwich Circus Festival is held over two floors at AirCraft Circus Academy. All scheduled performances are held on the 1st floor, Aerial Studio, which is only accessible via a staircase. There will be stewards on the day very happy to help people upstairs. As above, there is a single wheelchair accessible toilet, but on the 1st floor.
Is there seating?
There is ample seating available for the scheduled performances. If you require seating at any time just let us know and we will be happy to arrange this.
Can I bring my child to the evening session?
Yes, this year the evening shows are family friendly and suitable tickets for children 3-11yrs are available. Children under 3 yrs can come for free.
